“Paper Burns” investigates the extremes of Arctic light across multiple seasons and years. At high latitudes, the sun oscillates between near-absence in winter and relentless presence in summer. Using ultralong exposures on light-sensitive paper, the work records these cycles directly by showing the shifting solar positions. The series reflects on duration, material transformation, and how the rhythm of light inscribes itself onto both landscape and medium.
